Why travertine

The natural grain is the look of the light

Travertine being polished

Cut, then polished.
The stone decides the rest.

Travertine has fine pores and a grain you can see and touch. It turns a hard light into a warm, soft layer. For a lamp that brings the material into the room.

The grain of the stone is the shape of the lamp

The pores and the grain stay. Warm light comes off the edge, quiet, not harsh. With wood beside it, the stone and the timber sit together.

Before you order

Why does every travertine light look slightly different?

Travertine is stone, not a printed pattern. Pore size, grain and tone change from one block to the next. What arrives can differ a little from the photo. That difference is the material.

How is the travertine part made?

The stone is cut, shaped and finished before it is assembled with the metal, wood, fabric or diffuser shown. Construction differs by model, so the product page lists the materials and what is included.

Where should it be installed, and how do I clean it?

Unless the product page states an IP rating, use the light in a dry room. Stone adds weight, so check that the ceiling or wall and the fixing can carry it. Dust with a soft dry cloth. For a mark, a barely damp cloth, then dry the surface. No acid, abrasive or strong cleaner.

What should I check before ordering?

Measure the room, the table and the ceiling height. Compare overall size, drop, canopy or base, and weight. Check colour, shape or number of heads, what is in the box, and whether the surface and the cable route suit the light.
